Teen Fundraising Opportunity for GSCNC
Cynthia is helping to organize an Adult Volunteer Retreat November 6, 7 and 8. We are planning for 100 adults to stay at Camp Potomac Woods, but up to 200 to attend during the day on Saturday. I would like to find out if there is any teen troop which is earning money to travel who would like to plan and cook the meals during the weekend. We are thinking of snack Friday night, Breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and Breakfast and lunch on Sunday.
We could pay some fee per person who attends, or would be willing to give a generous budget and let the money-earning troop manage the money and keep its fee--you suggest what would be fair and we can work with you.
This would be a little different than cooking for an encampment--turkey breast instead of chicken tenders, as an example--the adults would want healthy but still easy food, but wouldn't want to eat like 8 year olds.
Let me know right away if you THINK you are interested--not a commitment at this time.
